Uncontested Contest For Chester Borough Council

No Democrats filed to run this election, according to officials.

CHESTER, NJ - Chester Borough residents will be in for more of the same in their governing body as only a pair of Republican incumbents have filed to run for town council this election cycle, according to officials.

Republicans Kyle Holman and Christopher Heil, both currently serving, are looking to earn their party's nomination in the June 8 primary. Barring unforeseen complications they will move on to the general election to no competition as no Democrat filed a petition to run by Monday's deadline.

Unless an independent files after the June 8, the general election in November will also be uncontested.
