Water Main Replacement, Paving Project Underway in Mendham

Drivers should be ready for possible road closures or detours. Police plan to provide daily construction updates.

MENDHAM, NJ — Drivers should anticipate detours and/or road closures in particular sections of Mendham this week for its water main replacement and paving projects, according to Township and Borough Police Departments.

Mendham Township Police Department says drivers should give themselves more time for their ride, especially during school drop offs and pick ups, to accommodate for potential construction delays. The police said especially in Mendham Borough on Route 24 by the Ford dealership, consistent water main construction is expected through the remainder of the week, through June 11, but the road is planned to stay open.

A milling and paving project on Cold Hill and Woodland Roads is expected to wrap up on or around June 16. There could be some closures, delays and detours throughout the duration of the project, which police say they will provide construction updates either the night before or early each morning, to notify drivers.
