"Upon meeting Ava, I was impressed by her naturally beautiful voice and modest personality. I have been lucky to have her as a student in my choir over the last four years, sharing both her talent and leadership. Ava has found success in the Mendham HS choral program, participating in the after school ensembles as well as County, Region, and All-State Choirs. This year she was accepted and performed (virtually) with the All-Eastern Choir.

"She studies voice with Colleen McDonald, and has flourished over the last four years. Ava also plays oboe in the band, and her sight reading and musicianship skills are excellent. She works very hard in all of the ensembles at the high school and is a great role model for her peers. While Ava has become more outgoing in personality over the last four years, she still remains humble about her talents. Ava leads by example and my other students admire her talent and poise. As she finishes her time in high school, she is looking forward to pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance."

MPAC typically honors students onstage before an event. The theater paused the tradition because of pandemic restrictions but believes it remains important to continue recognizing local students' achievements. Each winner will receive a certificate and will appear on the Student of the Month page on MPAC's website.
