BOE Awards Contract for MMS Auditorium
Bid is less than the $1.2 million budgeted for the renovation project.
The Millburn Board of Education awarded a bid from a local contractor for $986,000 for restoring the auditorium.
Business Administrator Steve DiGeronimo told the school board that both bids came in under the $1.2 the board had budgeted for the project, and in this case, the lowest bid was also the best bid.
“I’m feeling pretty good about that,” DiGeronimo said. Work will include new seats, paint, curtains and new lighting and sound systems.
