Millburn: Flood Advisory Issued Until 1:15 a.m.

MILLBURN, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Millburn and some surrounding areas as of 10:06 p.m. Friday, as heavy rains fell. The advisory runs until 1:15 a.m.

The NWS noted:

At 10:06 p.m. EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Elizabeth, Flatbush, Flushing, Bayonne, Mott Haven, Hoboken, Bloomfield, East Tremont, Linden,
Valley Stream, Orange, Coney Island, Summit, Lyndhurst, Millburn, Rutherford and Woodmere.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
