Common Core Standards, New State Tests on Board of Education Agenda

A presentation on the Common Core State Standards and the new state tests (PARCC) will be given during Monday night's Board of Education meeting.

The board will meet at the Education Center at 7:45 p.m.

Superintendent James Crisfield and Assistant Superintendent Christine Burton will discuss the background and facts as well as examine issues that have been raised locally about the CCSS and PARCC

A group called Preserve Our Schools will hold a meeting of its own Tuesday on "The Future of Education for Students: A Town Hall." The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Bauer Community Center in Taylor Park.
