The Millburn Police Department is making new hires for the part-time job.

MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn Police Department is looking to fill eight crossing guard positions.

The school district announced recently, "If you know of anyone looking for part-time work, please let them know. Help us keep our students safe!"

It says, "The Millburn Police Department is now hiring School Crossing Guards for immediate openings at Millburn Public Schools. Shifts take place before and after school. Please note that due to the coronavirus pandemic, school hours are subject to change. This is a very important and rewarding part-time employment protecting children as they walk to and from school."

The posting noted, "We work on school days only – with the exception of special events (nights, holidays, etc.) as needed. Competitive wages."

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Must have availability to work a shift before school and a shift after school.
