Dream Comes True For Millburn Teen: Bowl A Perfect Game
"We are so happy he was able to accomplish that so early in his life," 14-year-old Alex Berg's mother said. "Hard work can pay off."

MILLBURN, NJ — A 14-year-old Millburn bowler has rolled his first perfect game.
Alex Berg, a Millburn middle school student, bowled a 300 on April 28 while competing in a NJ Junior Bowler's Tour event at Oakwood Lanes, according to a statement from his family.
This was Berg’s first perfect game, beating his previous personal high of 263. He bowled his 300 using a DV8 Hitman ball, which he recently got when his ball was cracked by the ball return during an event earlier this year, his family said.

“Alex has loved to bowl since he was 6 years old, initially at Madison Lanes, and now in the Saturday Morning Youth League at Hanover Lanes where he is instructed by his coach, Anthony Parisi, a NJ USBC hall of fame member,” his mother, Janine Berg said.
Berg said that she and Alex's father, Brian, watched their son's early skill with bowling at the age of six turn into an inspiring love for the sport.

“He works so hard at the game and has always dreamed of bowling a perfect game, taking lessons and doing leagues and tournaments," Berg said. "We are so happy he was able to accomplish that so early in his life. It shows him that hard work can pay off.”
Berg said that her son continues to attend Junior Bowler's Tour events across the Tri-State area, and is looking forward to continuing his Saturday leagues and joining the Millburn High School bowling team next year when he becomes a freshman.
