Ed Foundation's Website Gets Facelift, New Logo

Millburn-Short Hills third-grade student responsible for new design.

For its 20th anniversary, the Ed Foundation of Millburn and Short Hills announced Monday its website redesign and the winner of the local contest for a new logo.

Third-grade student Dhruv Kapur was selected out of 30 entries as the winner of the organization's contest for a new logo. The competition was tough with a large talent pool in the district and the support of the district art teachers, the organization said.

"We were so impressed with all the creative logo entries we received and it was difficult to choose,” co-President Debbie Rieder said.  “In the end, we chose Dhruv's logo because it had a fresh, original feel, communicates clearly what the Ed Foundation is all about and had the right look for our new website. We are very grateful to Dhruv."

The website was designed by town resident and Ed Foundation member Michael Keyles along with Rieder and her co-president Amy Talbert. It includes an online shopping cart for donations and purchase of event tickets, information on events, mini-grant information and applications, and much more.

"We think the new site has much more color, is more user-friendly and shows more of what the Ed Foundation is all about and how we help our schools," Talbert said.

The organization serves to support the Millburn public school curriculum by providing equipment, technology, programs and staff development that cannot be funded within budget caps.

The contest was created and managed by Ed Foundation members Shannon Aronson and Robin Eichler.
