Essex County Man Accused of Distributing Child Porn
Bloomfield resident allegedly distributed images and videos depicting child sex abuse.
A Bloomfield man has been accused of distributing child pornography from his home computer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Paul J. Spisto, 52, has been charged with two counts of distributing images of child pornography over the Internet.
According to the criminal complaint, Spisto distributed videos and images depicting child sexual abuse through the Internet and via a Usenet newsgroup, which allowed others to access the materials.

An undercover agent discovered and downloaded the images and videos and the username and IP address of the distributor were traced back to Spisto’s address, the complaint said.
Each count of the indictment carries a minimum of 5 to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
