Gas Line Purge in Livingston This Weekend

The Millburn Fire Department says residents may smell natural gas in the area similar to Thursday's gas purge.

PSE&G has scheduled another gas line purge in Livingston this weekend, which may result in an abnormal odor of natural gas around Millburn and Livingston similar to Thursday, according to officials.

The gas release on Cit Drive was scheduled to start on Saturday around 8 a.m. and set to end at 6 p.m.

Millburn Fire Chief Michael Roberts said he doesn't expect the purge to be the same as Thursday, which spurred many calls to town hall about the smell, but was unsure because current humidity.
