Green Fair Shines on Rainy Day

Millburn's fair moves inside on Earth Day, bringing out the environmentally conscious of all ages.

The rain could not dampen the spirits of the Millburn Green Team on Sunday, when they brought Green Fair for Earth Day inside the Bauer Center at Taylor Park.

"We were so pleased with the success of yesterday's Green Fair," said Rene Paparian. "Especially given the weather."

Children planted seeds and built solar ovens out of pizza boxes, and fairgoers were able to recycle their plastic bags, purchase high-efficiency CFL lighting kits to help the Millburn Green Team's future sustainable living education programs, and take home pine seedlings.
