Lautenberg 'Will be Missed,' Millburn Mayor Says
'I believe that he did what he wanted to do and he ended his life where he would have wanted it as a member of the senate,' Millburn Mayor Sandra Haimoff said about the late U.S. Sen. Frank R Lautenberg.
U.S. Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg, the last World War II veteran in the senate, died Monday morning.Â
"He will be missed,"Â Mayor Sandra Haimoff told Patch.
The mayor said she was surprised when she heard the news Monday morning.

"He was an asset in the senate," Haimoff said. "He served the state well for many years."
She added, "I believe that he did what he wanted to do and he ended his life where he would have wanted it as a member of the senate."
