How To Get Rid Of Your Christmas Tree Or Bush In Millburn
Here's how to discard your Christmas tree, Hanukkah bush, or huge holiday plant in Millburn/Short Hills in an environmentally friendly way.

MILLBURN, NJ — The township of Millburn has released its rules about how to discard your Christmas tree, Hanukkah bush, or really big holiday plant in an environmentally friendly way.
The trees will be recycled during the month of January. Place them at the curb using the following guidelines:
- Remove all bags, garland, lights, ornaments, and tree stand.
- Remove all nails and wire used to secure the tree.
- Leave at the curb. Tree will be picked up and chipped.
Wreaths can be dropped off at the Township Yard at the “Bulky Waste” area behind the DPW building. If your tree is not picked up in an appropriate amount of time, please call (973) 564-7060 to schedule a pickup.

Please do not place Christmas Trees in plastic bags, lest they be mistaken for your discarded fruitcake collection.
