Kelsey Grammer To Host Beer Tasting In Short Hills

MILLBURN — Actor Kelsey Grammer will appear at the Kings Supermarket in the Short Hills section of Millburn on Jan. 29 to host a tasting for his new beer, Faith American Ale. The beer is brewed on a former cauliflower and dairy farm in Margaretville, NY.

According to a press release, Grammer noted, “[Faith American Ale is] beer that tastes like beer."

To be fair, that's not the only description given by the actor — who is not a doctor, but played one (a nerdy and wordy one) on TV. He added, "[It has] a character and hoppy flavor that does not overwhelm…inspired by the Catskill Mountains.”

Grammer is best known as the uptight psychiatrist who dated Diane Chambers (Shelley Long) on "Cheers" for several seasons. He then starred in the spinoff, "Frasier." He has appeared on Broadway as well.

Grammer will sign four-packs of the beer with each purchase. (Sometimes you want to make sure everybody knows your name.)

Kings will be one of the first retailers in New Jersey to carry Faith American Ale. The supermarket chain will sell 4-packs of 16-ounce cans for $10.99.
