Millburn Police Respond To Shoplifting Incidents

Tory Burch associates reported that an unknown male entered the rear of the store and stole an associate's purse.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police released a list of incidents they responded to earlier this month.

This past Tuesday, Millburn Police Officer Herrera responded to Neiman Marcus at The Mall at Short Hills for a report of a theft.

Neiman Marcus associates reported that two unknown females entered the Burberry section and select a Burberry Handbag. The females cut the security cable and carried the bag out of the store without making payment, police said. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

Employee's purse swiped

On April 1, Millburn Police Officer Matos responded to Tory Burch at The Mall at Short Hills for a report of a theft in progress. Tory Burch associates reported that an unknown male entered the rear of the store and swiped an associate's purse, a black Dior handbag, and several other pieces of merchandise.

Store associates attempted to chase after the suspect, but he got away from them, police said.

The merchandise was later found dumped in a parking lot outside the mall. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
