Region I Music Ensembles Accepts 39 MHS Students

From Millburn Township Public Schools:

The New Jersey Music Educator’s Association has selected 39 students from Millburn High School to its 2012 festival music ensembles from auditions by music students from around the state.

The state is divided into three regional organizations, each organization conducting their own auditions and selecting “honors music ensembles” to present a concert. Millburn Township is in Region 1. Students accepted into the high school region program were also eligible to audition for the All State Ensembles, and 15 students are now also participating in All State. 

The auditions are very competitive, with music students from 85 high schools in North Jersey participating. This year, Millburn's 39 students who have been recognized to be members of certain region ensembles represents the highest number among the participating schools.
