Millburn Community Service Award for Longtime Volunteer

Millburn resident has been a volunteer for almost 70 years

Friends, family, and neighbors of longtime Millburn resident Arline Shapiro are invited to Millburn's town hall on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m., when Mrs. Shapiro will be presented to the Millburrn Township Committee by the Millburn Township Community Service Committee, as a candidate for the township’s Community Service Award.The purpose of the award is to recognize deserving individuals or groups who, by their outstanding volunteer activities, contribute to the quality of the life in the township.”

At the brief ceremony at the beginning of the township committee meeting, Arline will be recognized for her almost 70 years of volunteer work for Unicef, 23 years of volunteer work as a Girl Scout leader, many years of volunteer work for the Kidney Foundation, cancer research, and much more. The public is invited to the ceremony, to extend thanks to Mrs. Shapiro for her lifetime of volunteer work, which enhances the quality of life for everyone.
