Millburn Enjoys First Full Weekend Of Reopened Outdoor Dining
Part of Main Street was closed off to allow socially distanced dining. Read on for the rules.
MILLBURN, NJ – After Gov. Phil Murphy said restaurants could reopen for outdoor dining on June 15, many eateries took advantage, and local towns passed new rules, including closing off streets so that hungry patrons could be served while socially distancing.
Last weekend, from 4 p.m. on Friday through early Monday morning, the township of Millburn closed off Main Street between Essex Street and Millburn Avenue to allow for outdoor dining throughout the weekend.
They also closed some parking areas to allow more dining, and allowed Lot 1 (Main Street and Essex Street) to operate as outdoor dining space.
