MILLBURN, NJ — The Township of Millburn sent out an alert on Monday advising residents about how to prepare for the predicted upcoming snowstorm Wednesday.

Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday that the Wednesday night storm could be a "whopper" and one of the worst in recent history. The state extended the winter storm watch to 17 of 21 counties.

The Millburn alert read: "A strong winter storm is expected this Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, with snow precipitation and heavy winds. Please make sure to move your vehicles off the street once the snow begins to accumulate, to allow for snow plows to navigate properly. Remember to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, and help your neighbors who need assistance with shoveling their driveways and sidewalks."
