Millburn Police: 4 People Swipe $3K In Medicine From ShopRite
It's not your usual drug heist.

MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police recently released details of police reports in January. Among them, four people allegedly shoplifted 181 medicines from ShopRite.
On Jan. 20, Millburn Police Officer O’Neill took a theft report from ShopRite, 220 Main St. ShopRite associates reported that on Dec. 10, at 6:45 p.m., two men and two women selected 181 medications, concealed them (valued at $3,114), and left the store without making payment.
The police said that two of the suspects have been identified and charged, but the investigation is ongoing.

On Jan. 13, Millburn Police Officer Dundon responded to Neiman Marcus at The Mall at Short Hills for a report of a theft. Neiman Marcus associates reported that at about 2:40 p.m., and a man and woman cut security wires on 3 Yves Saint Laurent handbags. They left with the bags, worth $7,130.00, police said. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On Jan. 19, Officer Larcom responded to Dior at The Mall at Short Hills for a
report of a theft. Dior associates reported that at about 5:14 p.m., a woman concealed a pair of blue
Dior ski pants, valued at $2,350, and then left the store without making payment. This incident is
under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On Jan. 24, Officer Manuyag located a vehicle unoccupied and running on South Terrace. The owner was located and said that someone had stolen the 2017 Audi Q3 from the driveway some time overnight. It was reported that the vehicle was left unlocked with a key fob
inside.
On Jan. 24, Officers Kerwien and Pinero were alerted to a shoplifting that had taken place at Macy’s at the Mall at Short Hills. The suspects entered a white SUV which headed onto JFK northbound at a high rate of speed. The officers observed the white SUV an attempted to catch up. They observed the men allegedly throw merchandise from the vehicle as it sped away. The officers recovered the merchandise — 5 Gucci fragrances, worth $750 — and returned it to Macy's. Macy’s said three men had selected and concealed the fragrances. When an associate tried to stop them, one of them got shoved.
On Jan. 25, Officer Seebohm located a gold Lincoln with what police say was a stolen temporary registration tag entering the Mall at Short Hills. He initiated a motor vehicle stop that led to the arrest of the operator, Ahad Lancaster, 24, of Newark, on a charge of receiving stolen property. Lancaster was issued summonses and released on his own recognizance.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
