Millburn Police Respond To Burglaries, Thefts
The Millburn police released details recently of arrests and incidents in late April.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police released reports recently of the following incidents and arrests in late April:
On April 26, Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to Merrywood Lane on a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reported that at 3:39 a.m., two unknown actors entered his unlocked Audi Q7. Nothing reported missing at the time of this report. This incident in under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 27, Millburn Police Officer Matos responded to CVS on Millburn Avenue for a report of theft. CVS associates told them that three men were observed concealing merchandise and then left the store without paying, police said. Descriptions were put out. Detective Royce located a suspect at Millburn Avenue and Vauxhall Road, according to police. The investigation led to the arrest of Ashemba Williams, 28, of Hillside. Williams was placed under arrest for shoplifting, possession of CDS (cocaine), and drug paraphernalia, police said. He was issued summonses and later released.

On April 29, 2021, Millburn Police Officers Wichelns and Ford responded to The Mall at Short Hills for a report of a theft. Burberry and Salvatore Ferragamo associates reported that a man selected several articles of clothing and concealed them. He then left the store without making payment, associates said. Police said that they arrested Kevin Antoine, 24, of Newark, for shoplifting and receiving stolen property. He was issued summonses and later released.
