Millburn Public Schools to Open Two Hours Late

Public schools will open on a delayed schedule due to significant risk of black ice as slushy roads freeze over

Millburn Township Public Schools said bus pickup and classes will begin two hours later than normal following a major winter storm that left roads covered in black ice.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory until 9 a.m., warning that significant black ice will make roads dangerous to drive and that tree limbs may fall due to heavy snow and ice coatings. Temperatures were expected to range between three and 12 degrees, with wind chills that make it feel like ten below zero.
