UPDATED: Millburn's Memorial Parade To Be Held This Saturday
A "shortened" Memorial parade will be held in Millburn starting at 10 a.m. this Saturday.
MILLBURN, NJ — Many area towns have announced that their Memorial Day Parades will be held in person after having been canceled last year. Millburn has announced that its festivities will take place this Saturday, albeit a "shortened" version.
"The township is pleased to announce that we will be holding a Memorial Day Parade this year!" wrote officials on the town website. "Residents are invited to join and watch the parade as it marches along Millburn Avenue to Taylor Park."
On Thursday, Explore Millburn sent an update: "Join the Millburn community to honor service members who lost their lives defending our nation. This year’s parade will be take place on Millburn Avenue from Douglas St. to Whittingham Ave. from approximately 9:45-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 29."

The parade will begin this Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be a brief ceremony in Taylor Park immediately following the parade.
"We are happy to bring back our Memorial Day Parade this year to honor and celebrate an important holiday with a community-minded event," wrote the town. "Please note the parade will be shortened and operate in a limited capacity. The event and all participants will be mindful of all executive orders and protocols in place at the time. We want to ensure a safe and meaningful event!"

There will also be a brief shut down of Millburn Avenue between Douglas Street and Whittingham Terrace immediately before and during the parade.
