Mudslinging for a Good Cause

Make your own bowls next week for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser coming up in March.

Like playing in the mud?

You can do it for a good cause Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Millburn Middle School.

The SOAR Peer Leaders will be making clay bowls and helping others make their own for the Third Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser dinner on March 1.

Make your bowl, choose a glaze color and the Peer Leaders will have it ready for you on the Empty Bowls evening.

The Empty Bowls meal consists of unlimited delicious hot soup and bread (donated by Whole Foods) and guest speakers from local and global charities who will share stories of their goals in helping to stop hunger.

Your $15 donation helps to keep their mission alive. Proceeds will be used to make donations to the Down the Block Charity, The Community Foodbank of NJ and Stop Hunger Now, Inc.
