Paper Mill Playhouse Announces Hunchback Cast

Paper Mill Playhouse announced the casting for the United States premier production of the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The play, inspired by the classic novel by Victor Hugo, has a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The production is directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock.

“We’re thrilled to present the U.S. premier of this epic musical with the support once again of Disney Theatrical Productions,” said Mark S. Hoebee, artistic director for the Millburn theater. ”The score and the cast are magnificent and our audiences will get to experience an unprecedented 50 voices singing this beautiful music.”

Leading the cast are Michael Arden (Big River), as Quasimodo; Patrick Page (Spide-Man:Turn off the Dark, as Dom Claude Frollo; Ciara Renee (Pippin) as Esmerelda, Andrew Samonsky (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Captain Phoebus de Martin and Erik Liberman (Lovemusic) as Clopen Trouillefou.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame will run eight weeks from March 4 to April 5, 2015. Tickets are from $28 to $99 and more information is available at www.PaperMill.org.
