Paper Mill Playhouse Launches New Adult Chorale
Adult class will meet once a week and end with a showcase performance.
Why should kids have all the fun? The Paper Mill Playhouse is now offering adults an opportunity to grab some of the limelight as well.
Paper Mill Playhouse has added a new course to its Theatre School offerings for adults who like to sing – The Paper Mill Playhouse Adult Chorale.
Members of this company will participate in ensemble singing as they explore the world of American popular music. The Adult Chorale will meet from 7:30-9 pm on Monday evenings, for eight weeks, beginning April 2, 2012.

“For those with a love of choral singing, The Paper Mill Playhouse Adult Chorale is a wonderful opportunity,” says Mickey McNany, Paper Mill Playhouse Theatre School Director. “This latest addition to our Theatre School schedule provides a chance for people of all ages to celebrate the beauty of choral performance.”
The Paper Mill Playhouse Adult Chorale will be directed by Meg Zervoulis, an arranger, pianist and music director who has worked off-Broadway on Chuckleball at the Snapple Theatre.

Regionally, Zervoulis served on the music team for Rated P...for Parenthood at SOPAC (Midtown Direct Rep) and has provided musical direction for many special events including collaborations with Ms. Lauryn Hill, Max Weinberg and Christine Noll has arranged and accompanied many Paper Mill Playhouse special events. Zervoulis is also a musical director and adjunct keyboard professor at Montclair State University and attended Carnegie Mellon University for piano performance and conducting.
The cost to participate in this program is $80. Participants must be at least 18 years old. The semester will end with a showcase and other performance opportunities will be available to participants. Contemporary music, standards and Broadway tunes will be part of the repertoire.
