Millburn Hosts Memorial Wrestling Tournament

Haddon Heights wins the 9th annual tournament named for Paul Finn Jr., aka "The Gentle Giant."

Millburn High School hosted the 9th Annual Paul Finn Jr. Memorial Wrestling Tournament, named in memory of one of MHS' most successful ever wrestlers also known as "The Gentle Giant."

Wrestlers watched a 10-minute video of Finn's high school wrestling career, including his winning of the 1978 state heavyweight title, beating several wrestlers who went on to Olympic titles or sports careers, including Jim Jeffcoat, who helped the Dallas Cowboys win two Super Bowl titles.

Sponsored by the Paul Finn Jr. Foundation, the tournament brings teams from all over to Millburn for competition and also honors the best recreational wrestlers, as well.
