Police Recover SUV and Cash from Robbery
Robbers who made away with money from Kings left it in the SUV in Newark.

Two robbers, wearing ski masks robbed the after hours during the holiday season making off with a bag full of money. But they didn’t bother taking the cash out of the car when they parked it in Newark, said Milburn Police Chief Greg Weber.
Detectives recently recovered the Range Rover with no license plates used in the Dec. 21 robbery of Kings, and when they looked inside, they also found a bag with approximately $8,000 in cash.
“I don’t know if they just left it there or were in the middle of another job or what,” Weber said. “But we weren’t able to find them there. Our guys hooked up the car and brought it and the money back.”

Police are still looking for the two men who robbed the store, described as black, between 5 feet 8 inches tall and 6 feet tall, carrying sacks and wearing hooded sweatshirts (and black ski masks at the time of the robbery.)
The two came into the store through the exit, jumped the counter of the courtesy desk and removed the cash from the safe and cash drawer, Weber said.
