Police to Discuss Crime Prevention
Police officers will provide residents with crime prevention tips tonight at the Millburn library.

The South Mountain Civic Association hosts a community discussion with members of Millburn’s Police Department concerning crime prevention tonight at the Millburn Public Library.
After a rash of in the neighborhood, residents are looking to the Police Department for tips on preventing thefts and burglaries and other crime and invite residents from other neighborhoods out to join them.
Chief Greg Weber said he and some other officers will provide residents with information they can use, beyond locking the doors, which, however, is one of the biggest preventive measures people can employ.

Police are looking for residents to partner with them to prevent crime and be watchful of suspicious activities in their neighborhoods, he said.
This will be the second community meeting – after a meeting with the Short Hills Association a couple of months ago.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight (Monday, May 7) at the library.
