Road Work Takes Out Parsonage, Old Short Hills Road In Millburn

Sections of the thoroughfares will be shut down starting Wednesday.

MILLBURN, NJ - Sections of Parsonage Hill Road will be shut down starting Wednesday as the County Road Resurfacing 2019 begins.

The work is focused on Parsonage Hill Road and Old Short Hills Road, according to officials.

The schedule states that work will take place on Parsonage Hill Road from White Oak Ridge Road to Old Short Hills Road and Old Short Hills Road from Parsonage Hill Road to South Orange Avenue.

The Essex County 2019 Road Resurfacing Program calls for the roads to be milled and paved.

During milling and paving work, sections of Parsonage Hill Road and Short Hills Road will be intermittently blocked off from traffic during scheduled work hours. Detour signs and new traffic patterns will be posted during the project.

Officials said residents should be advised that access to and from driveways and streets may be impacted during operations.

No parking on Parsonage Hill Road and Short Hills Road during active construction will be permitted.

All road work is weather dependent.
