Short Hills Mall Shows Holiday Spirit With Fountain ‘Coin Art’

SHORT HILLS, NJ — In this fast-paced modern world, you have to keep an eye peeled for the little bits of daily wonder that make life worth living or they might just pass you by.
On Thursday, eagle-eyed visitors at The Mall At Short Hills saw a little bit of holiday-themed magic via the mall’s ball fountain, a longtime landmark at the shopping center.

The mall’s marketing and sponsorship specialist Leslie Trifone told Patch that the “coin art” was done by the center’s talented facilities mechanic, Ivan Symczyk.
“Ivan does these coin creations with a simple squeegee in a matter of minutes,” Trifone said.

As always, all the coins in the fountain are donated to the United Way of Millburn-Short Hills, Trifone added.
