Short Hills Neiman Marcus Sees $11K In Handbags Swiped
A female shoplifter at the Short Hills Neiman Marcus store in Millburn allegedly made off with $11,850 in bags and coats last week.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police reported that $11,850 in high-end items were shoplifted from the Neiman Marcus store in the Short Hills section of town on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Several other stores in the area also saw thefts of high-end goods last week, police reported.
In the case of the Nieman Marcus store, a “slim” female who was “wearing all black” allegedly swiped three handbags and four jackets from the shop and left without paying, police said.
Police Officer Kostovski responded to the theft. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

Three other stores in the area also saw high-end items allegedly shoplifted last week, police said. On Saturday, Dec. 14, police responded to the Fendi store at the Short Hills Mall on a report of a female, also wearing a black coat, allegedly concealing a $770 sweater in a bag and leaving without paying. She is described as having long, curly hair, and wearing a tan sweater and dark pants.
And on Wednesday, Dec. 11, a male wearing a white cap, red jacket, white pants, and carrying a white bag, allegedly concealed two shirts from the Lacoste store at the Short Hills Mall and left without paying. He allegedly hid the shirts, worth $290, under his own shirt (no word on the designer).

On Friday, Dec. 13, police responded to the Sephora store in the Short Hills mall and arrested two women, one 31 and one 20, from Newark, for allegedly concealing $121 of merchandise and leaving without paying. The women have the same last name. They were charged with shoplifting and released on a summons.
