Short Hills Surgeon Cracks List of Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners

Dr. Beverly Friedlander, a board certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery, received the Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Award on Dec. 5 at Fiddlers Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ. Dr. Friedlander was selected from among hundreds of finalists for her continued commitment to helping women in Short Hills and the surrounding areas reach their professional and personal goals by building their confidence.

Through her practice, Dr. Friedlander has actively improved the lives of women in the greater Short Hills community for more than two decades.

“I help women build confidence from the outside in," Friedlander said. "Women are better able to exert their power when they feel confident in their appearance. No woman should ever feel the need to hold herself back because of how she looks, especially when there are so many noninvasive options available today.”

Friedlander, also known as Doctor Bev, added that women should feel "empowered" to take care of their bodies.

"Cosmetic procedures are simply another facet of nurturing one’s physical and emotional health," Friedlander said.

The Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs Award was presented to Dr. Friedlander and other distinguished women who represent industries such as Technology, Construction, Law, Finance, Marketing, Healthcare and many others. Collectively, they generate 1 billion dollars in estimated revenue. In 2012, they employed close to 10,000 people. Research shows that by 2018 women entrepreneurs will be responsible for creating 5.5 billion new jobs nationwide. The award winners are all actively involved in social advocacy programs and dedicate their time to supporting over 1,800 nonprofit organizations.
