Five Millburn Public Retirees Receive More than $100,000 Pension

More than 1,400 public retirees in the state receive pensions that are more than $100,000. Five are retired from Millburn-Short Hills.

Various public retirees in the area are part of the so-called "$100K" club, receiving more than $100,000 in pension from the state of New Jersey — five are retired from Millburn.

The top paid pensionsers across the state are retired executives. Topping the list is Charles Epps, former Jersey City superintendent and A.Z. Yamba, former president of Essex County College, tied at $195,000, according to New Jersey Watchdog.

This year, the list of retirees receiving $100,00 or more in state pensions increased to 1,474 — 230 more than in 2012 at 1,244, the article reported.

Below is a list of those who retired in Millburn and their pensions:

  • Keith A. Neigel from Millburn Public School at $116,656
  • Ronald R. Castaldo from Millburn Public Schools at $110,802
  • Robert L. Zeglarski from Millburn Public Schools at $106,952
  • David A. Barber from Millburn Township at $105,040
  • Paul G. Boegershausen from Millburn Township at $103,760

*Correction: Timothy Gordon, Township Administrator, is not retiring this year and does not currently recieve a pension.
