Skating Away Will Be Allowed At Taylor Pond In Millburn

On the thin ice of a new day.

MILLBURN, NJ — The Township of Millburn has said that ice skating is permitted at Taylor Pond when conditions are safe. Residents can click on the link below to look at a list of open recreation programs for each day, including if conditions at the pond are sufficient for skating.

For instance, this past Friday morning, the link to the spreadsheet said that skating was unsafe because of thin ice.

When the red flag is flying on the pond side of the Bauer Community Center, skating or walking on the ice is not permitted. If there is a green flag flying, skating is permitted.
