MILLBURN NJ — Even though Halloween was subdued in New Jersey this year, four middle schoolers in Millburn managed to dress up anyway and depict "the new normal" of remote learning.

Maya Abraham, Shea Spumberg, Ruby Hall, and Maeve Ryan, all eighth graders at Millburn Middle School, dressed as students on Zoom for the holiday.

The Millburn schools started the year with remote learning, although the younger students returned to class last month (if their parents chose the hybrid option) and older kids can head back this month, also under a hybrid plan. The plan has undergone several changes.
