Thief Takes Cash, Jewels From Short Hills Home: Police
The burglary was among cases investigated by the Millburn Police Department in the last two weeks.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police said that a person living in the Short Hills section reported a residential burglary recently in which someone stole items worth thousands of dollars.
The resident told Officer Crawn that over the weekend, an unknown person entered the home and stole jewelry and cash.
This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

Here are details from other cases the police investigated in the first half of June:
Vehicle stolen and found: On June 1, Officer Catinella responded to an Adams Avenue residence for a report of theft of a vehicle. The resident reported that sometime overnight, his 2014 Audi A8 was stolen from his driveway. He said he'd left the key fob in the unlocked vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in East Orange.

Charged with stolen property: June 2, 12:05 pm, Millburn police officers responded to a White Oak Ridge Road in the area of Long Hill Drive for a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, police found the suspect vehicle, a black BMW (stolen out of Florham Park) disabled and unoccupied near Dryden Terrace. It was determined that the driver fled on foot down Dryden Terrace. While searching for the driver, a second suspect vehicle, a stolen blue Range Rover, sped from the area and eluded police. The Essex County Sheriff’s Department and Union Police Department assisted as police searched the neighborhood for a suspect. Tysean Ware, 18, of Newark was located in a backyard on Keats Road, according to the Millburn police. He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, burglary, and hindering apprehension. Ware was later released to Florham Park Police for additional charges. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
Car break-in on camera: June 9: Officer Kostovski responded to a Dorison Drive residence on a report of burglary to a vehicle. The resident reported that at 10:52 pm on June 8, his security cameras captured a man, approximately 20 years old, walk up his driveway and attempt to enter his vehicle. This incident is under further investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
Another break-in: Also on June 9: Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to a Cypress Street residence on a report of burglary to a vehicle. The resident reported that at 11:31 p.m. on June 8, his security cameras captured three suspects as they walked up his driveway and attempted to enter his vehicle. This incident is under further investigation.
Drag race at Trader Joe's: June 12, 2:40 a.m., Millburn Police Officer Frisch responded to parking lot behind Trader Joe's on reports of vehicles drag racing. Officer Frisch located a vehicle, a black Kia Stinger, and attempted to stop it. The vehicle eluded police and fled from the parking lot, police say, but turned left onto Myrtle Avenue, heading down a dead end.
Police arrested the driver, Kareem Moore, 21, of Maplewood and charged him with eluding police, police said. He was issued summonses and later released.
