In an effort to assist our commuting residents as they transition back to the office and in the spirit of adding flexibility to the way the Township’s commuter parking currently operates, the Township will be adding one pay station to Lot 7 (Millburn Train Lot) and one pay station to Lot 3 (Short Hills Train Lot), that will allow our residents to pay and park for the day. Parking at these pay stations will be available to Millburn/Short Hills residents with a valid resident sticker https://twp.millburn.nj.us/Parking, at a fee of $10 per day.  This change will be in addition to all day parking spots currently located at the Library lot.  This change will provide an added convenience that we believe people are looking for at this time.Â

While it is anticipated that commuting to New York will see an increase after the summer, it’s uncertain as whether we may reach pre-Covid levels again.  We will continue to evaluate parking demands in our commuter lots and will determine whether providing this type of flexibility may become the new model for our station lots.
