Forecasters say the chance for rain tonight is about 50/50, but organizers don’t see that as a deterrent. As of 6:30 p.m., the skies were gray and the predicted rain had held off. And besides, merchants said, most of the festivities are inside shops, galleries, salons and restaurants, where it’s nice and dry.

“It rained last October 13th too so I see that as a positive thing as the rain didn't deter folks from coming out and supporting their downtown,” said Downtown Millburn Executive Director Lisa Hackett.
