11th Grade Montclair High School Student Accepted to Early College
Mira Tesla earned a place in the Bard College at Simon's Rock fall 2014 entering class.

It’s not every day that 11th graders are accepted to college before finishing high school. But for one Montclair, NJ junior, that’s exactly the case. Mira Tesla earned a place in the Bard College at Simon’s Rock fall 2014 entering class.
Tesla’s academic and personal achievements secured her a spot at Simon’s Rock this fall. The campus in Great Barrington, Massachusetts is home to over 400 bright and highly motivated students engaged in a rigorous college education. Early college students are on track to graduate from college one or two years ahead of their peers.
“Simon’s Rock receives a number of impressive applications every year,” Chandra Joos deKoven, Director of Admission said. “After a thorough and holistic review, Mira’s readiness to engage in a highly rigorous college curriculum, potential for academic and personal success, and ability to enrich our campus community were evident in her application.”
