4 Stolen Vehicles Reported In 1 Week: Montclair Police
Montclair police said that vehicle thefts were reported on Elm Street, Watchung Avenue, High Street and Undercliff Road.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police said that vehicle thefts were recently reported on Elm Street, Watchung Avenue, High Street and Undercliff Road over a seven-day span.
The Montclair Police Department released the following statements about each incident.
- Dec. 29 (Elm Street) – “A 2011 Ford 150 van was stolen from Bynderian Floor Coverings sometime between December 24 and December 29. The vehicle was recovered, parked and unoccupied in Newark on December 30.”
- Dec. 31 (Watchung Avenue) – “A resident reported that his 20128 black Acura RDX was stolen from his driveway during the overnight hours. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with the key fob in the center console. The vehicle was recovered on January 2 in Bayonne. Four juveniles were charged with receiving stolen property by Bayonne police.”
- Jan. 2 (High Street) - The complainant reported that his 2015 Toyota Venza was stolen from in front of his residence on December 31.”
- Jan. 4 (Undercliff Road) – “A 2018 Range Rover was stolen from the driveway of the residence during the overnight hours. It was recovered later that day parked and unoccupied in Newark.”
