Baron Wolman: The Rolling Stone Years

Hear Wolman speak about his "Summer of Love" in 1967.

Mark your calendar. Baron Wolman, the original chief photographer of Rolling Stone—the magazine that helped both record and shape the massive cultural shifts of the 1960s—will speak at the Montclair Public Library on Saturday.

Wolman's book, "The Rolling Stone Years," recounts his years living in Haight-Ashbury and capturing the images that were published in and on the cover of Rolling Stone. His photographs, which include some of rock and roll's biggest personalities and most iconic images, are now widely collected and exhibited.

In his own words and with his own photos, Wolman will speak about the "Summer of Love" in 1967 when he helped start Rolling Stone, about his experience at Woodstock, and about the stories behind some of rock's most memorable images.
