“We must remain resolute in protecting the rights of all of our citizens to have access to affordable, quality health care,” said Marcia Marley, president and co-founder of BWNJ. “Almost weekly I hear stories about how the Affordable Care Act has saved someone’s life. The ACA alternatives being proposed by the GOP are truly unthinkable and will have catastrophic results.”

“The ACA saved my life by covering hundreds of thousands of dollars of treatment I needed to battle breast cancer,” said Michelle Ward, a Montclair resident and mother of a young child. “While I’m healthy now, there’s no way to know what’s to come. Not knowing if I’ll be able to get coverage through the ACA, or if my pre-existing condition could make that coverage unaffordable, is a fear I live with daily.”
