It may still be officially summer but there's still always something going on in Montclair.

The Food Network's reality show, Restaurant Stakeout, will feature  Bella Casa in Montclair next week. According to the blurb on the Food Network's website: "Willie comes to the aid of Tom, proud owner of Nauna's Bella Casa, who's spent the past 24 years building his restaurant into an established Montclair, N.J., eatery. Now, the married 45-year-old owner is looking to take a step back from his demanding business to start a family. Tom's enlisted Willie to help him figure out what his staff is doing when he's not around that's costing him customers, so he can salvage his restaurant's reputation before it's too late."

Former Councilor Cary Africk talked about Montclair's appearance compared with other nearby towns. He said, "I've long commented on the look of other towns and how well they are taken care of, and what a pleasure it is to visit them. I've often commented on Madison, a town of mature street trees, well cared for homes, and a 'picture perfect' downtown."

Montclair Police are seeking clues in a recent pair of burglaries—the second pair to take place this month in a two-day period. But, when it comes to another burglary reported late last month, police have arrested a 19-year-old Montclair man, as well as a 17-year-old teenaged boy, and recovered at least some of the stolen items, including a diamond wedding ring, said Det.
