Catalytic Converter Stolen From Van Overnight In Montclair: PD
Montclair isn't the only Essex County town to recently see thefts of the expensive car parts.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone recently stole a catalytic converter from a van in Montclair while it was parked overnight, police said Tuesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the theft was reported Friday. Authorities said:
“The victim reported that an unknown person(s) removed the catalytic converter to his 1998 Ford E350 cargo van. The vehicle was parked in an Orange Road parking lot during the overnight hours.”
Montclair isn’t the only Essex County town to see thefts of the expensive car parts. Other such thefts have been reported in Nutley, Bloomfield and other nearby towns.
