Construction on Park Street Suspended

According to Montclair Township, due to the onset of inclement weather work on Park Street has been stopped and is expected to resume mid-March, weather permitting. A notice will be delivered to the affected properties a week or so before construction resumes.

As of now, all curb and drainage work has been completed between Walnut Street and Claremont Avenue.

The township anticipates work will resume at Claremont Avenue and proceed toward Bloomfield Avenue and then move to the section between Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The section between Chestnut Street and Watchung Avenue has been tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2015.

The Montclair Township thanks residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation as they work toward completing these needed infrastructure improvements.
