Coronavirus Cases Rise In Montclair, Officials Say: 28 In 1 Week
Montclair, like several other towns in the Essex County area, has seen a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, officials say.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair, like several other towns in the Essex County area, has seen a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, officials say.
On Oct. 12, there were 580 cumulative cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Montclair. That total has increased to 608 as of Sunday, town officials reported.
The cumulative death total linked to the disease in Montclair has remained the same over that period at 57, officials said.

Montclair isn’t the only Essex County town seeing an uptick in cases of the virus.
Earlier this month, multiple towns in the West Essex area canceled recreation activities, and North Caldwell issued a warning about an "outbreak" of the coronavirus.

Except for two individual who are household members, the new cases from Thursday appear to be unrelated, as are the cases from 10/13. The cases are a variety of age ranges and there has been no evidence that they are linked. #COVID19
