Essex County COVID Update: Vaccine, Case Totals For Each Town

See a town-by-town list of vaccine rates and coronavirus cases in Essex County.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey has cracked a milestone 10 million-dose mark for coronavirus vaccines, with more than five million people who live, work or study in the state now “fully vaccinated” as of Tuesday. But how are towns in Essex County doing when it comes to their vaccination rates?

The New Jersey Department of Health recently began releasing vaccine statistics for each city and town in the state. The state's website doesn't note which variety of the vaccine have been given. The Pfizer and Moderna versions require two doses spaced several weeks apart; the Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires a single dose.

State health officials note that the website may show more than 100 percent vaccine coverage for some towns due to several reasons, including people moving, students living on campus in the area, and people living in long-term care facilities.
