Family-Friendly Montclair Community Bike Ride Is Back For 2018

The "Tour de Montclair" goes through the town's four wards and highlights parts of town not easily seen by car.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Tour de Montclair, Montclair’s annual “community bike ride,” will return for its 2018 incarnation at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.

According to a municipal news release, the family-friendly bike ride has 6- and 12- mile options that begin at Crane Park near the Geyer YMCA. The ride will take riders through the four wards of Montclair, highlighting parts of town not easily seen by car. Riders will cruise by the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens and Nishuane Park, pass the Montclair Art Museum and more. The ride ends back at Crane Park where riders will be able to enjoy live music -- from Deep Dig -- and a host of family-friendly activities.

Riders are invited to enjoy the sights at their own pace: fast, slow or anywhere in between, officials said.
